Event Details

The Lewis Chessmen remain one of the most valuable finds to have ever been extracted from Scottish soil. For almost 200 years the story of the chessman has remained constant - until now. Dr David Caldwell, a former Curator at the National Museum of Scotland will speak about the history of the pieces and the latest thinking on them.

As always, tea, coffee and themed home baking are available on the night and also the opportunity to take part in our celebrated raffle where the prizes touch end end of the sublime to ridiculous spectrum.

Why not come along and hear the story in a convivial atmosphere with probably one of the best speakers on the subject?
