Diane Watters is an architectural historian and author who works at Historic Environment Scotland and the University of Edinburgh. Her current research projects focus on Scotland’s historic school buildings and on New Towns in Scotland (as a Leverhulme Research Fellow). Her recent PhD, Early Urban Schools, examined school buildings in Medieval, Renaissance, and Early Modern Scotland up to 1600.
