“For the last four years I’ve entered the international Erbacci poetry contest. I’ve been longlisted for the last three years and then this year they contacted me and asked me to put together a proposal to get a manuscript published,” she says. The resulting book is 'In Silver Majesty', a collection of poems that focus on themes of loss and regret. “I have a slight obsession about looking at life as being temporary,” she explains. “I definitely have an interest in the supernatural. When I was a child, my grandmother lived across from a graveyard and I’ve always had an interest in the spiritual.” It’s a rich vein for poetry, but Donna says she gets her inspiration from all sorts of places.
