We are all looking forward to the return of our very popular speaker, Donald CowelI whose topic will be “The Air/Sea Rescue Unit Based at Kirkcudbright in WW2”. During the Second World War this area was an important region for the training of aircrew, so there were inevitably accidents therefore Air/Sea rescue was established with Number 55 being sited at the Gibb Hill.
Please note our meeting will be a week later than usual due to the hall having been booked previously. January 18th 7.30pm.
